Pilates

FLEXIBILITY, STRENGTH AND MUSCLE TONING

It is a physical and mental training system invented during the First World War by the German Joseph Pilates based on his knowledge of different specialties such as gymnastic, traumatology, ballet and yoga.

The Pilates method consists in a toning work with eccentric stretches that help stretch and strengthen the muscles. It helps us to reduce tension and back pain, changing our body posture.

"Is the mind that shapes the body" - Joseph Pilates -

Although the Pilates method has been developed and has given rise to a large number of diverse styles and applications, there are some fundamental principles that must always be present:

  • Alignment
  • Centralization
  • Concentration
  • Control
  • Precision
  • Fluency
  • Breathing

Pilates is an ideal tool to prevent or recover from injuries.
